Hello! My name is Miki, and I am a civil celebrant. I would be delighted and honoured to provide you with my services for your wedding, a funeral, a naming ceremony, or any other occasion where you need a celebrant.
Whether you want something straightforward or a bit more theatrical, I am happy to help you plan an event that is unique and meaningful for you.
I have a Japanese heritage but I’ve lived in Australia for over 40 years. I come from a varied background of performing arts, I.T. and business and have chosen to become a celebrant as a way to assist people in celebrating both the happy and also sad moments in life. As well as providing a service, this also gives me joie de vivre and a wonderful raison d’être.
Why? Because it is a lovely way for me to connect with people, to give what I can to mark a milestone in a person’s life: birth, marriage, death, and anything else in between (and perhaps after!).
What else? I am:
– based in Melbourne, but happy to travel by arrangement
– a member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants (AFCC)
– a member of the Association of Independent Funeral Professionals (AIFP)
– a proud supporter of the LGBTQ community
– an opera fanatic, Francophile, lover of cats and also a yoga instructor!
I strongly believe that knowing we are on the same wavelenght will ensure that I can make your celebration extra special – so please contact me for a chat, with no strings attached.
